Bike Week seminar takes place in Edinburgh
15/02/2008
Cycling Scotland held a seminar this week in Edinburgh to help potential organisers for Bike Week 2008 plan and prepare cycling events.
Bike Week is the UK's largest cycling event, comprising over 1000 locally organised bike events under one national banner. Cycling Scotland promotes Bike Week in Scotland and provides support to organisers. As part of this, every year Cycling Scotland holds a seminar to give advice on Bike Week, provide examples of how to run an event from previous organisers and gives best practice advice on promoting events in the media. The seminar was held in the offices of the Scottish Government at Victoria Quay, Edinburgh.
This year delegates at the seminar also had the choice to take part in a number of actual Bike Week style activities, including a short led bike ride, a Dr Bike Session, a bike skills course and a mini bike film festival.
