Health on Wheels

Health on Wheels is a health focussed cycling initiative currently running in a number of areas in the North of England.  It is a cycling referral scheme for health professionals, who can refer their patients to cycling programmes that offer a gradual approach to starting cycling, helped by ongoing support. Cycling Scotland held the Health on Wheels seminar on the 30th March 2007at the Scottish Executive offices, Victoria Quay in Edinburgh.  The purpose of the event was to raise awareness of the Health on Wheels concept, engage with the audience, highlight potential pilot projects and explore ways in which this model can be progressed in Scotland.
