Route Information

SE Scotland and NE England
An excellent route site by John Brewer, with a good selection of on road routes. This site is intended to offer ideas for cycle trips in and around SE Scotland and NE England. The routes are not graded in any way but comments should give some idea of their nature. They are not meant to be prescriptive but are just suggestions – obviously you can adapt them to suit your own needs.

NHS Health Scotland
Health Scotland is a new special health board created on 1 April 2003 by bringing together the Public Health Institute of Scotland (PHIS), and the Health Education Board for Scotland (HEBS).

They provide a national focus for improving health and will work with the Scottish Executive and other key partners to take action to improve health and reduce inequalities in Scotland.

Scottish Road Safety Campaign
The SRSC was founded in 1985. It is funded by the Scottish Executive and its remit is to develop and co-ordinate Scotland’s wide road safety initiatives and campaigns. The SRSC works closely with all local authority and police road safety units in an attempt to ensure a co-ordinated approach to road safety in Scotland.
