Making Cycling Mainstream
With many cycling schemes being poorly understood and little used it is becoming increasingly important to ensure that your resources will bring the improvements you hope for. Making Cycling Mainstream is a range of professional development courses that will help you and your staff to get better results from the same level of investment.
The Making Cycling Mainstream programme promotes the Cycling Scotland ethic to develop good practice in the delivery of cycling projects. Our philosophy is that cycling schemes should integrate effectively and be seen as practical and relevant by intended users.
Making Cycling Mainstream is a set of 10 different workshops aimed principally at technical staff within local authorities and other agencies. These interactive courses will give staff useful skills ranging from developing travel plans to engaging with stakeholders to learning how new Scottish laws such as the Outdoor Access Code and the Core Path Network laws impact upon your organisation.
