Module 3: Focused Case Study
This module is based on an existing cycle scheme and junction improvement resulting from development proposals. This module is based around workshop sessions which enable delegates to work through design solutions and critique the schemes built.
This module explains
• The strategic transport context of a proposal- Detailed explanation of the background to the project, the wider aspirations of the highway authority, together with the local constraints.
• How to formulate options for cycle projects and demonstrates how these options fit within the road and cycle network
• How to make decisions about on-road and off-road solutions
