Bike hire scheme Bike & Go is to drop bike hire charges for 24-hours in order to help ScotRail users to take part in Cycle to Work Day.
Regular users of Bike & Go, which offers bike hire from a wide range of stations across the UK, will save £3.80 – the cost of 24-hour bike hire – on Thursday, September 3.
Dropping the rental fees temporarily will make it even easier for Bike & Go users to join the tens of thousands of other people across the UK who’ll be taking to two wheels to mark Cycle to Work Day, which encourages people to jump on a bike and cycle to work.
Kaj Mook, Bike & Go Director, said: “Cycle to Work Day is a fantastic initiative which helps people to get a taste of just how enjoyable cycling to work can be. We understand that there will be people for whom cycling the full distance to work isn’t practical, and that’s exactly what Bike & Go is about; providing the option to do the main journey by train and then cycle the last few miles to the office. To encourage even more people to give this a try, on September 3, the rental fee is on us!”
