Those based in the East can now take part in the all new Edinburgh Circular ride on 7th September, which starts and finishes at the iconic Murrayfield stadium. The ride, ideal for families and riders of all ages and abilities, will take place on the same day as the already hugely popular 47 mile, 100 mile and 9 mile rides.
And for the second year running freshnlo Pedal for Scotland will return to Aberdeen on 14th September to host the free-to-enter Aberdeen Family Ride. With an all new route for 2014 starting at Duthie Park and a host of cycling based activities awaiting riders at the finish line, this is set to be a fantastic day out for family and friends.

Edinburgh Circular Ride- 4 miles – 7 Sep
In addition to the staple 110 mile, 47 mile and 9 mile rides, we are delighted to announce that this year we are also offering a 4 mile family friendly ride for all ages and abilities, starting at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.
About: The Edinburgh Circular ride provides a fantastic (almost completely traffic-free) route leaving from and finishing at Murrayfield Stadium. Enjoy the experience of crossing the finish line inside Murrayfield Stadium with the rest of the freshnlo Pedal for Scotland rides.
Route: A four mile circular route from Murrayfield Stadium on closed roads, quiet residential streets and cycle paths.

Aberdeen Family Ride – 5 miles – 14 Sep
STV presenters Tyrone Smith and Laura Goodwin put in some pedal practise today with local children Max and Libby Forsyth ahead of taking part in freshnlo Pedal for Scotland Aberdeen Ride.
About: The Aberdeen Family Ride is back for a second year and incorporates a brand new route for 2014. The ride starts within the stunning surroundings of Duthie Park in Aberdeen and is traffic free making it ideal for riders of any age or ability. An exciting event expo featuring a cycling skills course, stalls and fun activities for all the family will also feature.
Route: A 5 mile loop setting off from and returning to Duthie Park
