If it’s been a while since you’ve been in the saddle or you’re more used to weekend cycles in the countryside that negotiating rush hour commuter traffic, Cycling Scotland’s new Essential Cycling Skills course may be just what you’re looking for .
Cycling Scotland, with funding from Transport Scotland, has launched Essential Cycling Skills practical courses to help boost the confidence of new and returning cyclists and give them the necessary skills to negotiate on-road journeys.
Cycling Scotland has teamed up with bike retailers in Scotland to train staff as instructors so they can offer Essential Cycling Skills sessions to customers commercially.
Essential Cycling Skills is a two and a half hour session costing £20 per person designed to offer:
- Bike handling skills
- Confidence on-road
- Road side repair knowledge
