Pupils at Barcaldine Primary School in Argyll and Bute have celebrated the end of term with a fun 6km cycle to the Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary. Twenty-six pupils from the Cycle Friendly School made the journey along the Sustran's cycle path which will form part of the future National Cycle Network Route 78.

One of the events marking the start of the 2010 Bike Week was The Dundee-Tentsmuir Forest Barbecue Bike Ride. Participants enjoyed stunning weather for the leisurely twenty four mile round trip to Tentsmuir Beach, largely on designated cycle paths, to enjoy a well deserved barbecue and art installation.
