Contact Cycling Scotland for advice on all aspects training and education for cycling. Our staff can advise on developing programmes to meet your own specific needs and have considerable experience in writing and delivering courses in mountain bike leadership, police cycle-training, on road cycle training and cycle coaching and more.
Cycling Scotland is currently working with cycling projects to develop a programme of accredited cycling centres that can deliver cycle instruction locally.
Often these projects are local cycling projects that offer other services such as maintenance and repair or guided rides. An example of such a project is the Bike Station in Edinburgh.
Through our Go Mountain Bike programme Cycling Scotland has been accrediting outlets who use qualified mountain bike instructors to deliver this 5 level mountain bike proficiency scheme. You can view a list of Go MTB Centres here.
Cycling Scotland uses experienced tutors to deliver all of our courses. Many of the tutors deliver a range of cycling courses and several of them are experienced in delivering other aspects of outdoor learning, education and programmes for sports governing bodies.
A list of our accredited tutors and associated support staff can be viewed here.
Our tutors have technical knowledge in their subject areas gained over several years and through a range of qualifications. All our tutors have been trained to a National Standard as tutors to supplement their existing technical knowledge.
Our tutors attend regular CPD events to ensure that they are up to date with current practice and processes.
We also support the network of independent instructors with our instructor training programmes. You can view a list of qualified instructors here.
