Cycling and Young People Group
Cycling Scotland provide the secretariat for the Cycling & Young People Group (C&YP).
An evolution of the former ‘Cycling and Schools Group’, the C&YP is made up of key organisations and stakeholders with a role to play in providing cycling opportunites for young people.
The Cycling & Young People Group was formed out of the desire to improve communication between partner agencies and organisations promoting cycling to young people in Scotland, and to encourage access to information on cycling in the school setting. The Cycling and Young People Group take ownership of action 14 of the Cycling Action Plan for Scotland (2013):
Promote cycling for young people more broadly for leisure or travel, for fun, health and sport, through the promotion of cycling activities, events and led cycle rides.

On the 16th October the C&YP hosted an Officers Forum attended by staff from Sustrans, Cycling Scotland, Scottish Cycling, CTC, Transport Scotland, Youth Scotland and the Bike Station Glasgow.
