Tour of Britain Scottish launch at Glasgow Green 01/06/06

Glasgow’s Lord Provost, Liz Cameron, River City's Joyce Falconer and Evan Oliphant unveiled the return of the Tour of Britian Cycle Race to Scotland today (Thursday, June 1).

This year the start of the Tour on August 29th will be a fitting end to a newly introduced three-day celebration of cycling, developed to create a festival atmosphere around the Tour. The celebration around this major world championship race aims to capture the imagination and enthusiasm of communities throughout Scotland as well as internationally.
